How light, proportion and a book within reach can change the pace of a stay.
Proportion comes first
A comfortable chair, a lamp and a nearby surface form a small architecture. The distance between each element matters as much as its design: the body should be able to sit, read and set down a cup without interrupting the rest of the room.
Light that slows the pace
Focused light separates the corner from the rest of the space without isolating it. A warm, directed source makes reading comfortable while preserving a calm atmosphere around it.
